Food Storage – Particularly Meats?

Hi. I’m currently on a no-carb diet (limited carb to be honest). Anyways, it’s going VERY well so far. The only problem I have is that I have school starting tomorrow, and I need a sure fire way to store items such as chicken, scrambled eggs, and what not, without it getting spoiled. Tuesdays and Thursdays are fine for me, but as for MWF I find myself there from around 10am-7pm…sadly. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY IN HECK I’M GIVING UP ON THIS DIET. IT’S BEEEN BEAUTIFUL SO FAR!

So how can I go about storing my food in my car? I want to keep it nice and fresh. Ziplock? Containers? Vacuum ziplocks?

I’d really appreciate a quick answer. Thanks!

A couple of small icepacks, packed into a lunch box or bag, beside the meat stored in a plastic container should do the trick.

Unless you get an ice chest you wouldn’t want to eat it after about five hours.

I personally would get beef jerky, protein bars and peanut butter products.

maybe an ice chest and pack the meat in saran wrap and then a ziploc

i don’t know about freezing eggs, you would be better off doing those from scratch, I prepare a lot of soups and freeze them in ziplock bags, you can make some delicious healthy soups on a low carb diet, Also the meats, they freeze great and you can pop them right into the microwave with veggies, I would put these in storage containers with individual compartments for the veggies and meats. I would highly suggest the soups though, as they are easy to prepare and store. Hope this helps…
